What bombs out the whole process is that the DVD drive in the box that you're installing on fails to read it. CDs are read fine by the same drive. This happens on an older (c.3 years old) PC that I was using as a test box. Another option (since you've already got the DVD image) is to copy the
image to the hard drive and install from that:
