IF you are looking for a box to use I've got an old dual P3 Xeon with have a gig of RIMM's in it, currently running Mandriva but that's just cos the live disk worked so I hat the install button.... and haven't touched it since..... I can throw in a RAIDport and a couple of extra drives if you want.... yours for free if want it, I can drop it off tomorrow after work (or lunchtime)
