Hi all,
It's getting to that time of year when I have to think about who my
new home broadband supplier will be and I thought I'd ask if you lot
have any suggestions.
This past year we've been living in St Clements and have used BT,
which frankly is just shocking. I see little point in saving a pund a
month if I can't use the thing. This year we're going to be living in
the lower half of Morrell Ave (not sure how much difference that's
going to make). Obviously we're still students so we can't afford to
pay loads of money, but as students it also means we have high demands
from the net; file shaing, gaming, etc, so traffic shaping is a big no
no. I'd also quite like a static IP (I noticed Madasafish offer them
for 'free'), though I'm fine to still use dynamic dns if that doesn't
work out. The other important thing is that it still works during the
day, which BT and Sky (the house I'm dosing in at thee moment) are
both useless for.
So, anyone had a fantastic experience with an ISP? Are there any that
I should do my damnedest to avoid? What does OxLug think?
