Subject: [oxfordgeeks] Senior Systems Administrator position at the Centre for Genomics and Global Health
Date: Wednesday 10 March 2010

Hi all,
As trailed by my colleague Tim at the last OGN, we're looking for a
senior systems administrator. The post is advertised at...
http://www.well.ox.ac.uk/academic-related-posts
...and the full job description is at...
http://www.well.ox.ac.uk/_asset/file/h5-10-016-vc.doc
In brief, we are a research group split across the Wellcome Trust
Centre for Human Genetics in Oxford (where the post is based) and the
Sanger Centre in Cambridge.
Our main focus is setting up and supporting large-scale data-sharing
networks for malaria research like
http://malariagen.net and
http://wwarn.org.
Our group comprises biologists working on human and parasite genetics,
statisticians, ethicists, administration and of course informatics
(there are currently 12 of us working on software and
systems).
Instructions for making an application are on the website linked
above. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an
email.
Cheers,
Alistair
