I still see very many reports of problems with the ATI drivers,
especially on the wine mailing list. I was intending to consider
ATI/AMD for a new machine later this year, so I hope this is wrong.
nvidia still seems to be the *safe* choice, but the lack of (linux)
competition is worrying.
