Sunday 7th March
KDE vs Gnome
Jesus College, Oxford
6.15pm for 6.30pm
In the Red corner, the German contender. Now at release 1.1 and
showing real signs of maturity, KDE could be a real contender in
the linux desktop stakes. But in the Blue corner, all the way
from Mexico stands the Gnome, ready to take on all comers in
his (her?) 1.0 livery. Let the showdown commence!
Jo Dillon and Phil Armstrong will be demonstrating both KDE
and Gnome in all their finery - and hopefully extolling the
good points of both!
Then there'll be a chance to ask any other Linux questions you
have and we'll progress to a nearby pub no later than 8.30pm.
The entrance to Jesus College is in Turl Street.
