The high performance of the Linux kernel is increasingly taken for
granted - it certainly gives other operating systems a run for their
money! However, this is hard to justify without impartial facts
and figures.
Chris Evans will present some new figures and also examine the
performance enhancements provided by the new Linux 2.2 kernel when
compared with 2.0. He'll also take a peek into the future at what
could be made yet faster!
Then there'll be a chance for general Linux discussion before we
adjourn to a nearby pub by 8.30pm.
