In the past 18 months UKUUG has organised an exciting series of free
evening presentations given by world-renowned speakers such as Richard
Stallman and Eric Raymond.
We are now pleased to announce that the next evening presentation will
take place on Wednesday, 4th October 2000.
Speaker: James Gosling, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Vice President and Sun Fellow
Title: From Emacs to Java to ?
The talk will give a perspective on how and why the Unix software
developer's life has and hasn't changed over the years; looking at what
led to Java and what today's development community needs next.
The talk will be followed by a question and answer session.
