[OxLUG Announce] Sunday 3rd October - Linux for Ordinary People - Luke K. C. Leighton

Fri Oct 1 16:12:01 2004

In putting together a Linux system for Small Office / Home Office
users, a number of thing need to be covered slightly differently
from the way that Linux has evolved. The choices aren't always made
  for technical reasons...

Desktop Linux. Two simple words that, like the phrase "Military
Intelligence", are considered to be a tired, tired joke: completely
incompatible. What is it that gives that impression, and how can the
  perception be changed?

Speaker: Luke Kenneth Casson Leighton
Date: Sunday 3rd October 2004
6.30pm, Comlab: http://web.comlab.ox.ac.uk/oucl/about/directions.html
