---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 13 Mar 2000 22:08:10 -0000 From: Neill Lawson-Smith nls@bcs.org.uk Subject: Who pays by Ferryman? - BCS Oxon Meeting - Its This Thursday!!!
Dear Mr Kergon,
I am dropping you a short reminder that the October BCS Oxfordshire Branch meeting is on this coming Thursday (16 March 2000) at 7:30pm.
With E-commerce via the Internet being one of the fastest growing technologies, The Food Ferry is one of the longest established home-gocery shopping businesses.
The Food Ferry have built up an enormous bank of knowledge and experience in the art of telephonic and e-commerce transactions; in enlightened customer service at-a-distance; in local fresh food supply chains and in direct delivery into the customers' home. Everything they do is handled by their computer systems and they are dependent upon the internet for an increasing percentage of their business.
James Millar, Strategic Director for The Food Ferry will be giving a general presentation on who The Food Ferry are, what they do and what methods and systems they use in converting experienced supermarket-shoppers into ecstatic home-shoppers.... and then retaining them.
We will be handing out CPD certificates at the end of the presentation. If you haven't already done so, it would be a great time to start your CPD records.
Please look at the web site http://www.bcs.org.uk/branches/oxon/events.htm#seven for a brief description about this presentation.
We will be holding the meeting at the Wolfson Building, South Parks Road, Oxford. Please use the link below to see a local map.
