Hi,
I suspect that some OxLUG people might be interested in this week's
Compsoc talk, which is tomorrow. You're all welcome, and it's free.
AMD Virtualization and Barcelona (Simon Cole)
=============================================
When: Tuesday 6th March, 20.00
Where: Keble College, Pusey Room
Simon Cole, who spoke to Compsoc in Michaelmas 2001, returns to give us
an overview of AMD's on-chip virtualization technology, and introduce
their forthcoming "Barcelona" quad-core processors.
The Pusey room is on the Pusey Quad, roughly opposite the lodge.
http://www.keble.ox.ac.uk/about/tour is a fairly good map. Someone will
be hovering in the lodge to point you in the right direction in any
case.
If you're interested, various Compsoc-type people are meeting at Noodle
Bar on Gloucester Green[1] at about 18.40 to eat with Simon. Drop me an
email or an SMS if you if you have any questions about meeting up.
