Dear Mr Kergon,
I am dropping you a short reminder that the March BCS Oxfordshire Branch
meeting is on this coming Thursday (22 March 2001) at 7:30pm.
Are you interested in Security & Encryption and want to know more about how
encryption is made to work? What are the main issues behind some of our
current encryption technology?
We are very pleased to have Dr Michael Ganley (Head of Consultancy) from
Zaxus Ltd (formally Racal) to speak about Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce) and
Cryptography.
Michael is an accomplished speaker in the subject of cryptography. The basis
of this months talk is from a talk originally given at The World Conference
on Computer Security, Compsec 2000 in November last year.
He will be describing how digital signatures work and comparing the various
technologies, including Elliptic Curve Cryptography which has a number of
advantages its competitors - particularly when working with smart cards.
We will be handing out CPD certificates at the end of the presentation. If
you haven't already done so, it would be a great time to start your CPD
records.
Please look at the web site
